The world revolves around money.
As much as I try to convince myself that that’s not true, it is.
We fight, argue, and cry over this stuff.
It’s the same thing every time; it never gets old.

People don’t really change; they may adjust but they will still be the person they are deep down inside.

The things that we do
Reminders of things I’ve done in the past sometimes make me cringe,
but I don’t regret a thing
(or I try not to at least)
because I can sit back and laugh at them now.
And people can judge me,
but there isn’t a thing in this world that can change the past.
What’s been done has been done;
we either choose to cry over it and hold a grudge
or let go and move on.

The little things in life.
It seems like I forgot how to live life when I graduated from Kindergarten.
They say you learn everything you need in life in Kindergarten.
I like to believe that it’s true.
I remember my Kindergarten days quite well.
No fear of mistakes, pain, or loss in anyway,
I did whatever my heart desired.
Ignorance was bliss; life was good.
In 374 days, I’ll hopefully be able to return to those times,
to do whatever my heart desires,
To live life again.

I just want to live.
I walk forward and there are only guns pointing at me.
I turn back and face a knife instead.
My legs freeze as I promise to not take a step in any direction.
However, nobody retreats and the promise does not seem to have any value.
What shall I do?
Take the gun or take the knife?
